Richard D. James is back after 13 years with “Syro.” Whether a long-time fan or first-time listener, this album is a great way to explore the Aphex Twin sound.
Caribou – “Our Love”
Dan Snaith is back, following 2010’s “Swim.” The new album, “Our Love,” will be released Oct. 7 on Merge Records.
dd elle – “Tell Me”
While an official album is yet to be released, surf Soundcloud to hear producer dd elle’s tracks.
Perfume Genius – “Queen”
“Too Bright” is the third studio album for Mike Hadreas, the man behind Perfume Genius. Released on Matador Records.
Foxygen – “How Can You Really”
Following last year’s wildly successful album, “We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic,” is “…And Star Power.” While rumors about the band’s breakup were rampant, they’re back with some pleasing psych-pop melodies.
Bleached – “For the Feel”
Sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin present their first release since 2013’s “Ride Your Heart.” The new three-song EP, “For the Feel,” brings fun pop sensibilities, perfect for stretching summer into fall.
Speedy Ortiz – “Bigger Party”
Released by Adult Swim, the song delivers the Northampton, Massachusetts, group’s noise-pop grungy college rock sound.
Santigold – “Kicking Down Doors”
The first release since 2012, “Kicking Down Doors,” comes with the hope of a new Santigold record sometime soon.
The Black Ryder – “Santaria”
From Sydney, Australia, The Black Ryder consists of Aimee Nash and Scott Von Ryper. They have their own record label, The Anti-Machine Machine, and bring all the shoe-gaze you could ever want.
Ex Hex – “Beast”
The all-female trio of Ex Hex are set to release “Rips” Oct. 7. Hailing from Washington D.C., the album is on Merge Records.
