The No. 21 Colorado Buffaloes got back on track with an easy victory over the University of Southern California Trojans.
The Buffs cruised to an 83-62 win over unranked USC Saturday at the Coors Events Center. It was a much-needed win, Colorado’s second full game without star junior guard Spencer Dinwiddie and freshman forward Tre’Shaun Fletcher.
Colorado had a season-high 10 blocks, with seven of those coming in the first half. Freshman forward Wesley Gordon had a season-high five blocks, adding eight rebounds and five points. Sophomore forward Josh Scott led the Buffs with 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and two blocks.
The win gives the Buffs a 15-4 record (4-2 in Pac-12 play), while the loss drops the Trojans to 9-9 (0-5 Pac-12).
Up next, the Buffs head to Tucson, Ariz. to face the top team in the country, the undefeated University of Arizona Wildcats. The game will be on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
