Stadium Drive closed Monday to pedestrian traffic, as well as most vehicle traffic, and is projected to remain closed until Jan. 2016, CU announced Friday. The road is undergoing a major renovation in accordance with the athletic complex construction project.
The road will be closed from Folsom Street to just east of Dal Ward Athletic Center.
According to the announcement, “signs and maps will be posted indicating alternative routes to campus via Folsom Drive and Colorado Avenue and, for pedestrians, the 21st Street bridge across Boulder Creek.”
Stadium Drive will be accessible to drivers attempting to reach certain affected parking lots, including lot 394’s metered parking.
“Facilities Management thanks campus users for their cooperation and understanding. As always, safety is our first priority,” the announcement said.
