NCAA Mountain Regional Meet

Over 300 runners from Montana to New Mexico will compete in today’s cross country Mountain Region Championships, but only 36 will advance from this race to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 17 in Louisville, Ky.

Only the runners on the top two teams in both the men’s and women’s races, and the top four individuals not on those teams, will automatically advance to the national championship. Going into the regional qualifier, hosted by CSU at Collindale Golf Course in Fort. Collins, the CU men are ranked first and the women are third in the region behind Weber State and New Mexico. The women’s 6,000 meters is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.; the men’s 10,000 meters are to follow at 1:00 p.m. Look to this page for updates from the race.
