The CU volleyball team lost to Baylor University at an away game Wednesday night at Ferrell Center.
The Buffs fell in straight sets 25-14, 25-23 and 25-15.
CU falls to 6-12 overall (3-9 Big 12), as Baylor improves to 12-10 (5-6 Big 12).
Sophomore outside hitter Kerra Schroeder and junior middle blocker Anicia Santos led the Buffaloes with nine kills each.
Freshman Kat Constantine served as the team’s libero for the first time this season, and recorded a career high of 12 digs.
The Buffs recorded 51 team digs, 32 total kills and hit .137 in the match.
Colorado came close to taking the second set, but just couldn’t stop the Bears.
The Buffs took the lead at 7-5 and again at 13-12. The score was tied up multiple times, including at 19 and 20 before Baylor got set point at 24-20.
Two Baylor hitting errors and a block by Santos and Schroeder helped CU get within one point, but a Baylor kill sealed the set.
The Buffs return home to the Coors Events Center to face No. 10 Texas Saturday at 4 p.m.
