Eight of 37 people in Boulder with warrants for outstanding minor in possession of alcohol tickets turned themselves in or were arrested during the Boulder Police Department’s warrant sweep on Sunday.
All eight were CU Boulder students, police spokesperson Kim Kobel said.
Three students turned themselves in before Sunday and five were arrested at known places of residency, work or frequency. Kobel said another two people indicated that they would clear up their tickets and warrants soon.
Kobel said that, before the sweep, police added one more person to the list of 36 overdue offenders that was reported on Dec. 12.
The 29 people with outstanding warrants could be arrested if stopped for a minor traffic violation within the state of Colorado, Kobel said. The municipal warrants do not affect cross-border travel.
Anyone with questions can contact the Boulder Municipal Court at 303-441-3030, and those wishing to clear up their ticket and warrant can do so at the Boulder Police Department, 1805 33rd St.
