The University of Colorado men’s basketball team is hosting the Seattle University Redhawks at Coors Events Center. The score is tied at 31 after 20 minutes of play.
The Buffaloes have began to pick things up, but a slow start saw them fall behind in the first game of the 2016 Legends Classic.
CU has struggled from beyond the arch; the team has yet to make a three-pointer. Free throws have been a point of concern as well, as the Buffs are 11-17 from the charity line, and — at one point in the first half — missed four straight.
Senior guard Derrick White leads the team with 9 points. Senior guard/forward Xavier Johnson has scored 7 so far.
The Buffaloes are shooting 34.5 percent from the floor so far, compared to Seattle’s 35.5 mark.
Senior forward Wes Gordon leads all participants with 10 rebounds in the game.
Seattle’s senior guard Brendan Westendorf has been an early menace to Colorado — he leads his team with 8 points.
The Buffs have 6 fast break points and have yet to allow a point in that regard to Seattle.
The CU Independent will have a full game report after time expires.
