Starbucks is the latest addition to the UMC’s growing set of dining options at the University of Colorado. The Seattle-based chain officially opened shop at the new location on April 1, offering a full menu of coffees, teas and pastries to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Starbucks took the place of the former coffee shop in the space, Baby Doe’s. However, last fall, the UMC Board and CU Dining Services announced that a rebranded version of Baby Doe’s will be moved inside the Alferd Packer Grill.
With other Starbucks locations bordering campus on Broadway, College and Baseline, the UMC store offers a more centralized spot on campus for students to visit the coffee shop.
Open between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, the store has the added advantage of being one of the few on–campus coffee stops open on weekends.
