Inside Sales Bootcamp has recently expanded to Boulder and is looking for women and underrepresented minorities to fill sales positions within the tech industry. It has offices in San Francisco Bay Area, Denver, Boulder and Seattle and the company is offering “boot camp” programs in the Boulder area, with guaranteed job offers upon completion.
Inside Sales Bootcamp is adamant about its mission to address a lack of diversity within the technology field. According to an employee breakdown of key technology companies, most positions are filled with white and Asian males. This disparity has caused many large tech companies to strive to create a more diverse layout with their tech teams. But Inside Sales Bootcamp provides more than just assistance with finding jobs — it provides extensive training for the sales world, just like Six Sigma Master Black Belt, which helps job seekers stand out from their competition.
“Bay Area companies are making it a priority to increase diversity as they scale their teams,” said Brenden Wales, Bay Area venture capitalist. “Inside Sales Bootcamp is a great resource and platform to help shrink this diversity gap, while also providing teams with highly trained and vetted candidates.”
Lori Richardson, president of Score More Sales and Women SalesPros, also had some comments on the diversity gap in the industry.
“This is a clear issue in talent development,” Richardson said. “Tech companies need great sales people, and women are often some of the most successful, when you can find them for your team.”
Companies around the nation are looking to expand diversity. But candidates don’t always have an easy path to becoming qualified without programs like Inside Sales Bootcamp.
The boot camps in Boulder are from May 10 to June 25. They provide two weeks of sales training, three weeks of prospecting and calls and two weeks of interviews and job preparation. They also provide post-graduation support once candidates land jobs. Scholarships and payment plans are available to help students afford tuition.
Inside Sales Bootcamp chose an ideal place to expand, with many qualified CU-Boulder students looking for jobs out of college in Boulder. TheLions, a prominent recruiting firm, said, “Inside Sales Bootcamp will provide a much-needed sales foundation for students right out of school and give them some experience before they interview with their first tech companies.”
Mike Duchen and Ryan Reisert, fo-founders of Inside Sales Bootcamp, have spent their vocations in the sales industry in Boulder and Silicon Valley. They also have mentorship experience, as Reisert explained.
“I actually went to college to be a math teacher, and before I knew it, I ended up spending my career running sales organizations,” Reisert said. “Mike used sales as a platform to launch his career at startups but has always had a passion for teaching and mentorship. Inside Sales Bootcamp gives us the opportunity to combine our passions for teaching and giving back to others by sharing the skills we have developed over our careers in startups in San Francisco and Boulder.”
The company has a large team ready to help prepare young professional applicants, especially women and underrepresented minorities. They have a rolling admission for their summer boot camps, but the selection process is competitive.
