The Colorado Buffaloes (6-18) fell to the No. 8 Oregon State Beavers (21-3), 50-73. Colorado still only has one conference win on the season.
Freshmen guard Kennedy Leonard led the team with 11 points. She also had three rebounds and an assist. Behind her were junior forward Haley Smith and senior center Jamee Swan, each scoring 10. These players couldn’t overcome the fact that Colorado’s offense only made a third of their shots.
It was a much different story from the Beavers, who shot 45.3 percent on the night. Senior guard Jamie Weisner led the team with 16 points. Complimenting her was junior guard Sydney Wiese who had 15 points, five rebounds, and eight assists. This propelled Oregon State’s offense to the 23-point victory.
