Jimmy Edgar took on Club Vinyl in downtown Denver on Saturday Jan. 23…and boy did he kill it. The night started out with an amazing four-hour opening set from local group Need & Necessity. It dished out a killer set filled with great tech house and jungle tech bangers. It was blissful. Then Jimmy Edgar got on the decks to play a masterful blend of tech and acid house that was nothing short of mind blowing. He began the set with songs that skewed toward house music than acid house before launching into straight acid house hits, like his track “Let Me Tell You.” He then switched to a mix of acid, deep and g house to round out the incredible night. Club Vinyl’s sound was great and the crowd was there for the music and not for an Instagram post with a DJ they had seen on DJ Mag’s Top 100. All in all it was a mental night.
