The Unite ticket once again swept CU Student Government elections last week, with every Unite candidate being elected and the one independent candidate not getting elected.
Boneth Ahaneku, John Lurquin and Joseph Soto won the uncontested race for positions as CUSG tri-executives.
Also running unopposed were Arts and Sciences Student Government co-senator-elects Madalena DeAndrea and Samantha Webster, and University of Colorado Engineering Council co-senator-elects Royce Brosseau and Moon Yin.
The only contested race was for CUSG representative-at-large, which saw Austin McCleery, Austin Rugh, Bea Lacombe and Gabby Hawkins elected and Gabriel Elbert defeated.
Also defeated was a ballot measure that would allow CU students studying abroad to vote in student government elections. Ninety percent of voters approved of the measure but it did not reach the total number of votes required for it to pass.
The results are unofficial, pending an infraction hearing Wednesday, April 15. Complaints must be filed to CUSG election commissioner Katharine Larson by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.
