Spring student government elections were finalized Tuesday when no complaints were filed by the 5 p.m. deadline.
Elections to a total of 26 positions were made official.
“Everything’s all said and done,” said Elections Commissioner Wyatt Ryder.
After releasing preliminary election results last Thursday, April 10, Ryder said he anticipated holding an infractions hearing on Wednesday to address complaints.
“I was expecting some just purely based on the fact that I had received so many complaints during the week, but at the end of the day I guess people just decided not to file any,” Ryder said.
It was the second semester in a row that CU Student Government elections have been free of complaints against candidates or campaigns for potential election-code violations.
The new tri-executives – Juedon Kebede, Lora Roberts and Chelsea Canada – will take office on Thursday, April 24 at CUSG’s weekly Legislative Council meeting that begins at 7 p.m. Ryder said a location will be set once CUSG assesses a bigger-than-usual audience likely consisting of parents.
