The Atlas Black Box was packed to the brim as three talented musicians took the stage. Henry Butler is a ten-time Pinetop Perkins Piano Player Blues Foundation Award nominee showed his talent as he freestyled for minutes on end. Gooding also created great music on the fly when he strummed on one of his two guitars. Martin Parker, “a composing and improvising sonic artist,” added an interesting touch to the traditional jazz music played by Gooding and Butler. This wasn’t a concert for everyone, as some older audience members left early, but it definitely made people look at jazz and technology in a different way.
