Local band Snake Rattle Rattle Snake will play the Hi-Dive in Denver Friday night.
The dark, indie rock band known to put on a good show will debut new songs and show off their new bass player. Two other, local acts, Prism Waves and Pale Sun, will accompany them in Denver.
CU Independent talked with Snake Rattle Rattle Snake lead singer, Hayley Helmericks, who said the band is in the process of recording new music to follow their 2010 LP, “Sineater.”
“Hopefully in the next couple of months we’ll have something out, which is exciting because we’ve been working on a lot of new stuff and it sounds a lot different and a lot more evolved in a way from our first record,” Helmericks said. “I’m really excited to get into the studio and start messing with those songs.”
She said the upcoming show is an opportunity to debut some of those new tracks and have a good time.
“It was really just an excuse to have a show and play and hang out with some friends and work out some of these new songs,” she said.
Listen to our full interview with Helmericks above and make sure to catch their show on Friday if you are 21 years or older. Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets are $10.
