Monday
Program Council presents: Free sneak peek of Bridesmaids
SNL funny woman Kristen Wiig leads the cast as Annie, a maid of honor whose life unravels as she leads her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), and a group of colorful bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to matrimony. This is free, but you have to pick up a ticket in the Program Council office, UMC 401. Get there early; it starts at 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday
Slim Thugz at Absinthe House
Forget about a boring Tuesday and come down to Absinthe House and party down with Slim Thugz. This electronic duo will make you wanna dance, so get ready! This event is 18-and-up with a cover of $5 for those under-21ers and you can buy those tickets here.
Wednesday
Distinguished Speakers Board presents: An Evening with Vicente Fox
Former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, will be coming to speak at the University of Colorado Boulder. Mr. Fox will speak on the “Geo-Political Climate” and there will be an opportunity to ask questions after the speech. Tickets for students are $1 and can be bought at the UMC Connection. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. and doors open at 6:45 p.m. No backpacks or skateboards will be allowed inside, so plan accordingly!
Thursday
Ana Sia at the Fox
Dance and get down with electronic female DJ Ana Sia. Ben Samples and Epcot open. Tickets are $15.50 in advance, $18 day of show with an extra $2 if under 21. Doors open at 8:30 p.m.
Friday
Tango Club
Come learn to tango at the Tango Club! No partner or experience required! Every Friday there is an hour-long lesson followed by free dance, starting at 7 p.m. Meets in the basement of Carlson Gym, just follow the music! Dress comfortably and wear soft-soled shoes or socks.
