CU student Galen Bercaw is facing charges for attacking two women.
Early Sunday morning, police responded to Arapahoe Avenue and Lincoln Place in Boulder after receiving word of an alleged attack.
One woman was able to escape from the suspect to run and get help. Four unidentified males were walking nearby and were able to stop and subdue the suspect until police arrived on scene.
Two women report a man attempted to choke them while grabbing one of their purses.
Bercaw was arrested by police and now faces multiple charges including robbery, second-degree assault and resisting arrest.
Both women were taken to the hospital and released.
