As summer gives way to fall, the changing of the seasons ushers in dozens of new albums. Check out the playlist below to listen to some of the best tracks being released now.
1. Allah-Las – “501-415″
Off “Worship the Sun,” the Southern California group’s sophomore album, comes the track “501-415.” Compared to their self-titled debut, the new album has less of a focus on surf rock and delves into a washed-out country sound.
2. Ty Segall – “Feel”
The prolific Ty Segall returned with one of his strongest albums to date, “Manipulator.” The energy from his early garage rock albums is still present, but comes alive in the form of artfully crafted rock. Segall plays Denver’s Bluebird Theater Sept. 26.
3. The Garden – “Crystal Clear”
The latest EP from Wyatt and Fletcher Shears, the twins who make up The Garden, “Crystal Clear” has their same dark guitars and short song structures. The Garden frequently releases new music, mainly on their Bandcamp, but both members continuously release music from their respective solo projects, Enjoy and Puzzle.
4. Cherry Glazerr – “Had Ten Dollaz”
Earlier this year, Cherry Glazerr released their debut album, “Haxel Princess.” “Had Ten Dollaz” is their first release since, and the track is set to be released on a limited 7-inch for Suicide Squeeze Records in October. The release will mark a departure from original label Burger Records, and also hints at a higher production quality to come.

5. Avi Buffalo – “Memories of You”
Avi Buffalo is the brainchild of Avigdor Zahner-Isenberg, who recently released his second album, “At Best Cuckold,” on Sub Pop. The sophomore album is four years in the making, and offers more polished tracks than their self-titled debut.
6. Big Freedia – “Explode”
Hailing from New Orleans, Big Freedia (the Queen Diva) recently released “Just Be Free.” The City of New Orleans just issued Aug. 21 as being “Freddie ‘Big Freedia’ Ross Day.” Hope you were one of the lucky ones to catch her set last Friday, Sept. 19 at Riot Fest.
7. King Tuff – “Black Moon Spell”
“Black Moon Spell” is the third album for King Tuff, also known as Kyle Thomas. Set to be released on Sept. 23, the title track sheds some light on a new direction for King Tuff. “Black Moon Spell” offers a classical rock edge, and strays from “King Tuff” and “Was Dead”’s power pop vibes.

8. FKA twigs – “Lights On”
FKA twigs seemingly blew up overnight. Listening to the self-explanatory “LP1″, it’s easy to understand how this emotional, minimalistic electronica fits into the current musical landscape.
9. Shonen Knife – “Ramen Rock”
“Overdrive” is the latest addition to Shonen Knife’s extensive discography. Originally formed in Osaka in 1981, Shonen Knife hasn’t lost a bit of energy. The all-female Japanese ensemble will be at Denver’s Oriental Theater Oct. 16.

10. White Fence – “Sandra (When the Earth Dies)”
Tim Presley recently released “For the Recently Found Innocent” under his stage name White Fence. Similar in sound to previous White Fence releases, Presley applied the psych-pop sensibilities to his most accessible album yet.
11. Sam Coffey & The Iron Lungs – “Get Pumped Up”
Out on Southpaw Records is Sam Coffey & The Iron Lungs’ second release “Gates of Hell.”
