The University of Colorado (4-6, 1-6 Pac-12) took down the University of California at Berkeley (1-10, 0-8 Pac-12), Saturday at Folsom Field in Boulder by a score of 41-24. The win was CU’s first ever home Pac-12 win.
Sophomore wide receiver Nelson Spruce had a monster game, with 188 all-purpose yards and a kick return touchdown. Freshman quarterback Sefo Liufau also had a big day, throwing for 364 yards and 3 touchdowns. Junior wide receiver Paul Richardson added 140 yards, while setting the school single-season receiving yardage mark and tying the school record for catches in a game.
With this win, Colorado needs two more wins to become bowl-eligible. The Buffs have exactly two games left in the season, facing off against USC next Saturday in Boulder and then Utah in Salt Lake City the week after.
