The Cultural Events Board announced on Monday that His Holiness the Dalai Lama has rescheduled his talk at the University of Colorado for June 23. The originally scheduled visit in October was cancelled because of health issues
The CU Student Government, the Cultural Events Board and the Tibetan Association of Colorado will host the event. They are also receiving support from the school’s administration.
A schedule for the visit is still in the works and will be announced in the coming months. The Dalai Lama’s talk will focus on techniques for incorporating ethics and compassion into one’s life.
Ticket sales information is not available yet. As with the schedule, this information will be released as soon as the details are solidified
The CEB and CUSG have created a Facebook event for the visit, which can be found here. Updated information will be posted on the Facebook page as the day inches closer.
“We are delighted that the Dalai Lama was able to reschedule his visit,” Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano told the CU News Center. “We look forward to welcoming him to our campus and learning from one of the world’s most prominent spiritual leaders.”
