Perhaps this week’s best kept secret is the Chipotle Cultivate Festival in Denver’s City Park today. The totally free festival boasts an incredible agenda of up-and-coming bands Best Coast and Grouplove, plus opening acts Okkervil River and Tennis.
The music isn’t the only reason to drop by. The festival will feature famous chefs from across America, including Food Network stars Amanda Freitag of “Chopped” and Emmy Award-winner Michael Chiarello of “Entertaining with Michael Chiarello.” All eight of the featured chefs have time slots where they will share different cooking techniques.
City Park will be set up with tents revolving around different themes: a Brewer’s Hall for the 21 plus crowd, a kids’ area for families and an artisans’ tent featuring free samples from 14 different Denver-area food companies like Bhakti Chai and Cake Bubbles, a cake truffle company located in Lakewood.
Groove to the catchy summer anthem “Tongue Tied” by Grouplove, grab a debut Autumnal Mole Stout from Ska Brewing Co. and eat all the Barbacoa Chili your little stomach can handle, because the Cultivate Festival is sure to be an awesome way to spend your Saturday.
The Chipotle Cultivate Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6 in City Park, Denver. More information can be found at the Cultivate website and Facebook page.
