The University of Colorado men’s basketball team scorched the Sun Devils Saturday in Tempe, Ariz. winning the game 63-49.
The win was much needed for a team looking to improve their success on the road, especially after a loss to Arizona earlier in the week.
The Buffaloes improve to 9-4 in the Pac-12, with a 17-8 record overall.
Freshman guard Spencer Dinwiddie led the Buffs in scoring with 15 points, five rebounds and two blocks. Austin Dufault and Andre Roberson added 12 points each in the win over ASU. Roberson helped CU win the battle on the boards, pulling in 9 rebounds. Freshman Askia Booker added 9 points off the bench.
As a team the Buffs performed well. They shot 45.7 percent from the floor and 46.2 percent beyond the arc. The defense kept the Sun Devils from getting anything going, holding them to only 35.8 percent shooting in the game.
Johnathan Gilling led the Sun Devils in scoring with 11 points.
The Buffaloes will finish their three game road-trip next Saturday after a week of rest against Utah in Salt Lake City at 3 p.m.
