MONDAY
Free advanced screening of “50/50”
Program Council presents a free advanced screening of “50/50”, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen. This hilarious dramedy follows the life of a 27-year-old who is diagnosed with cancer. The film will be screened in CHEM 140 at 8 p.m. You can pick up a pass at the Program Council office in UMC 401 to guarantee a seat.
First Person Cinema—Thom Andersen
Thom Andersen is the featured filmmaker of this week’s First Person Cinema showcase. Check out his newest 16 mm film “Get Out of the Car” and see three additional newly restored 16 mm shorts from the 1960s. The film will be screened at 7 p.m. in VAC 1B20. Admission is $3. TUESDAY
Suit Yourself
Go to the Career Services’ 8th annual “Suit Yourself” professional clothing sale. Score inexpensive, gently-used designer suits, shirts, skirts and pants for that interview or new job you have coming up. The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the C4C, Abrams Lounge, third floor.
WEDNESDAY
Magic Trip movie screening
The Boulder Theater will be screening a film about the journey of Ken Kesey (“One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”) and the “The Merry Band of Pranksters” to the New York World’s Fair in 1964. The film features real footage of people such as Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady, and chronicles their drugged adventure across America. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $12.50.
Free Latin American Cooking Class

Live Talk with NASA Astronaut Jim Voss
This week, NASA Astronaut, Jim Voss will be live at Fiske Planetarium. Join him as he talks about his experiences in space and the retired Space Shuttle. The NASA controller of the International Space Station at Johnson Space Flight Center in Houston will also be present. The talk begins at 7 p.m. and features a Q&A session with Jim Voss.

Sugar Free Feminism: “Miss Representation”
Sugar Free Feminism will be screening “Miss Representation” for free in ATLAS 100 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Come check out this film to learn how the media is portraying women, especially women in power.
Open Mic Night at Catacombs
Boulder’s own Tommy & the Tangerines hosts Catacombs’ weekly open microphone night. Bring your guitar and play a tune or just enjoy the music. Open Mic Night begins every Thursday night at 9 p.m. at Catacombs Bar on 2115 13th Street.
Ladies night at Absinthe
Join the CU Independent at Absinthe house this Thursday night. Ladies drink for free from 10 p.m. until midnight. Stop by get your dance and drink on, and don’t forget to say hi to the CUI staff!
FRIDAY
Celebrate Bisexuality Day
The GLBTQ Resource Center and Biphoria will join together this Friday to put on an “Alice in Wonderland”-inspired “Mad Tea Party” in honor of Celebrate Bisexuality Day. All are welcome for a fun-filled day of cookies, tea, lawn games and celebrating the awareness and visibility of the bisexual community. Improv Comedy Show
CU’s own improv group, Left Right TIM, will perform in Hale 270. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $3.
