Plenty of new vehicles soon to be available
Being able to see, touch and sit in over 500 new cars is an opportunity that many dream of but it do not often experience. However, the Denver International Auto Show is the place where one such dream becomes a reality.
The Colorado Convention Center was packed with cars from March 26 to March 30 for people to come and see up close. According to Pete Tynan, the president of the Metro Denver Auto Dealers Association, the 2008 Denver International Auto Show took up nine acres of space.
The show attracted most car companies, ranging from Acura to Volvo. Each company had a unique display to attract not only a large crowd but also potential customers. Many people come to the car show to see what’s available for purchase. Individuals who are planning to buy a vehicle with a limited budget may consider looking at pre owned jeeps for sale. You may also need car shipping services to deliver your newly purchased vehicle to your home.
Annie Volk, who was looking at the BMW section of the show, is interested in the new 1 Series.
“I need a new car,” Volk said.
With the rising prices of the popular 3 Series, BMW created the 1 Series to attract younger buyers who do not have the money for more expensive vehicles. The 1 still has its share of luxury and power while remaining somewhat affordable and was a popular attraction at the show.
While some see the auto show as a chance to buy a car, some come simply to see rare and upcoming vehicles.
“I came to the auto show because of my passion for cars, and especially for the new GT-R,” Nick Laursen said.
The GT-R is Nissan’s new exotic vehicle coming to the US. The automaker is famous for their Skyline GT-R, and the only way Americans were able to drive it was in video games. Now Nissan has removed the GT-R badge from the Skyline and made a whole new supercar that will be available worldwide.
The GT-R will cost around $70,000, which means people will not see them on the roads too frequently. The auto show serves as a great opportunity to see rare and expensive vehicles ranging from Aston Martins to Lamborghinis.
“I love automobiles and I fantasize about cars I cannot purchase,” Chad Montgomery said.
The Denver International Auto Show also contained some fun surprises.
The show had a replica of the Bumblebee, who is a popular Autobot from the 2007 summer blockbuster “Transformers.” Bumblebee turns into a 2009 Chevrolet Camaro and serves as an example of what people can expect when the car is available next year.
