The Library Emergency Response Team is cleaning up the damage caused by a burst pipe in the Earth Sciences and Map Library.
The library will be closed until Monday, Feb. 7.
Tuesday night, a pipe burst above the Earth Sciences and Map Library located in Benson Earth Sciences.
Damage control has been implemented. Both the upper and lower levels have sustained major damages.
“The collection isn’t too bad,” said Suzanne Larsen, associate director of public services at the library. “The building was damaged the most. We aren’t letting anybody into the library right now and we are going to shut down and let things dry out.”
