The Detroit Pistons have selected former University of Colorado point guard Spencer Dinwiddie with the 38th overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft.
Dinwiddie averaged 15 points, three assists and three rebounds per game in 17 games last season before he tore his ACL on January 12. In Detroit, he joins a backcourt of Brandon Jennings, second-year shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and former CU great Chauncey Billups.
Considered a locked-down first-round pick before tearing his ACL last season, Dinwiddie’s confidence never faltered. The guard is projected to be back on the basketball court in August.
