The String Cheese Incident will play a free show from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 28th, on the Hill. The Colorado natives will play a “Free Incident” on a stage constructed at 13th Street and College Avenue to mark the release of “Song in My Head,” band’s first album release in nine years.
After playing Boulder, String Cheese heads to the annual New Orleans Jazz Fest, followed by more summer festival dates. Usually a staple on the illustrious Red Rocks summer lineup, String Cheese has not announced any dates to perform at the famed venue, with the “Free Incident” as the only confirmed Colorado show this season.
The String Cheese Incident is encouraging fans to arrive early, as a large turnout is expected.
An after-show at The Fox Theatre will follow the “Free Incident,” featuring The Drunken Hearts with “Very Special Guests.” Tickets can be purchased through The Fox Theatre website for $1.
In preparation, street closures will be enforced from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. the night of the show. College Avenue will be closed at various locations around the stage: from 12th Street to 12 ˝ Alley, 12 ˝ Alley to 13 ˝ Alley, Broadway to 12 ˝ Alley and on 13th Street from Euclid Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue.
