The University of Colorado women’s basketball team, ranked No. 16 in the nation, took down the University of Iowa when Brittany Wilson put up a career-high 26 points.
Despite a 19-point lead earlier in the game, CU narrowly won 90-87 Wednesday night in the Coors Events Center.
Along with her personal record, Wilson grabbed five rebounds and three steals.
Sophomore forward Arielle Roberson also had a big night with 17 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
The 3-0 Buffs take on New Mexico, 1-2, on Saturday at Bob King Court.
Attendees of today’s women’s game were promised tickets to the men’s basketball team’s Dec. 7 Kansas game, leading to a large student attendance. Students were to pick up their tickets on the court after the women’s game, but they became unruly, causing lengthy delays in receiving tickets. Kansas is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation.
