Freshman Chris Jenkins has left the CU men’s basketball team.
The news was confirmed by head coach Tad Boyle Monday. Jenkins, who redshirted last year, has not played in a game of college basketball at Colorado or any other university.
Boyle did not want to comment about the reasons for Jenkins’s departure, and the reasons for his exit remain unclear.
The 2013-14 basketball season begins this Friday, Nov. 8 at 8:00 p.m. in Dallas, where the Buffs will take on the University of Baylor at the American Airlines Arena. The game will be broadcast on the Root Sports network and on 850 KOA (AM).
