Now that classes are in full swing, you might need some time to blow off some steam. Here is your guide to going out this week!
MONDAY, JAN. 28
Poetry Night at the Laughing Goat Café, Pearl Street
The Laughing Goat Café in the Norlin Library is a quaint campus establishment, but the Pearl Street location is something to behold. Get there by 8 p.m. on Monday to see some local poets show their stuff, all for the price of a cup of coffee.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 30
Off-Campus Housing Fair – UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom
Everyone on campus seems to have caught the housing bug – even my house has been leased for next fall – and it is a daunting task to find your next abode. You can get plenty of advice on living and leasing in Boulder, whether you’re a freshman looking for your first place or a seasoned senior, looking for a sweet pad to spend your final year in. Plus: There will be free pizza.
FRIDAY, FEB. 2
Reverend Horton Heat with Reno Divorice – Fox Theatre
This slightly humorous and very entertaining show will be a great stop if you have $20 to spend on a Friday night. Tickets range from $10-20.
SUNDAY, FEB. 3
This year’s NFL championship might as well be called the Harbaugh Bowl, as brothers Jim and John Harbaugh lead their teams into the Super Bowl. The match-up between the Ravens and 49ers might not be the first choice for those looking for something to on a Sunday, but would you rather be doing homework?
