When an opponent walks into Coors Events Center, they better come prepared for a roaring crowd. A sea of black and gold, overpowering, loud and obnoxious, the C-Unit has earned the respect of many around the nation for having a great home court.
This season the University of Colorado’s C-Unit is nominated for the Naismith Award. This prestigious award names the top college basketball student section in the country.

Buff’s fans are encouraged and should vote for their team to help them win the award. They can do so by going to facebook.com/ILoveCollegeHoops.
Current, past and future buffs can vote once a day to help Colorado win. The winning school will win $10,000 to go towards its scholarship fund.
As of Jan. 17, Colorado was ranked eighth in the nation and first in the Pac-12. Anyone can vote, so make sure the Buffs receive the most votes by telling everyone you know to vote for CU.
In order to win the award, the teams will be narrowed down after two rounds of public votes and a scoring from the Naismith Awards Board of Selectors.
The award is meant to represent the school that shows an enthusiasm towards the sport, through showing support for their team.
The first Naismith Student Section of the Year Award was given last year to the University of Kansas.
CU fans can continue to vote through February 6 and can check to see how their team stacks up.
