The night we have all been waiting for has arrived – election night. Finally someone will be president, and we will no longer be bombarded with questions concerning who we are voting for. Why not celebrate with a nice little drinking game to get everyone in the patriotic spirit?
Objection: Lessen the blow of a loss; celebrate a win and, of course, bragging rights over your buddies.
Items needed: A TV to watch the election, friends and beer (but please, drink responsibly).
Directions: Pour each player a glass of beer and tune into your favorite political news channel. If one of the situations below occurs, follow the directions above and next to it accordingly.
Everyone takes a drink of their beer if these one of these terms are mentioned:
Big Bird
Ohio (three swigs)
Clinton
Reagan
Binder
Latino vote
Youth vote
Bailout
Wall Street
Obamacare
Women
Sandy
Gary Johnson (two swigs)
Wolf Blitzer stalls (drink as long as the stall)
Swing state
Jill Stein
Third party (i.e. Green, Libertarian, etc.)
Still too close to call (two swigs)
Economy
Exit polls
Israel
Blitz:
Blitzing may occur if you correctly predict which political party will win a state, giving you the opportunity to make another opponent take a drink. If you’re wrong though, you must take two drinks.
Finish your drink:
When your state officially closes
If your favored presidential candidate wins
Shotgun a beer:
If your favored presidential candidate loses
Happy Election Day.
