CUI Photojournalist James Bradbury in his own words:
“This week at the CU Independent it was my turn to be the Photographer of the Week. That meaning I would given free rein to take pictures of whatever I wanted to, and they would be showcased here.
I had no assignments (apart from football), and no rules, just bring back five great images. It was challenging.
I had to create five pictures that were strong enough to tell a story on their own. Throughout the week I went to Nederland to check-out the changing fall colors, attended a prayer vigil, got an action-shot of the best mascot in sports, climbed to the top of Norlin, and probably made some people on the bus really nervous. It was a week unlike any I’ve experienced as a photojournalist, but the pictures were worth it. I like them a lot and I hope you do too.”
