Mardi Gras at JAX Fish House
From Feb. 19 through the 21, JAX Fish House is celebrating Fat Tuesday with a Grand Celebration. Dine on Bayou frog legs, oyster and ham Po’ Boys, or a crawfish and shrimp boil while sipping on a $6 Hurricane and thinking of a warmer climate.
Homebrew and Bottle Collector Support Group
Join the support group for fine beer drinkers and brewers for their second meeting. The group meets at 6 p.m. every third Monday of the month in Avery Brewing Company’s Tap Room. Just grab one of your beers (22 oz. minimum) and meet the group to discuss the making and drinking of beer. Admission is a bottle from your cellar, made by you or purchased to share and taste.

Visiting Artist Lecture Series: Aki Sasamoto
CU’s Department of Art and Art History’s Visiting Artist Program will present, Japanese and New York-based artist Aki Sasamoto. Beginning at 7 p.m. in the Visual Arts Complex, the dancer, sculptor and performance artist will discuss her work in visual arts, music and dance in addition to collaborating with other artists. This event is free for CU students.
Mardi BRA @ The Walrus Saloon
Beginning at 9 p.m. any girl that brings a bra to The Walrus Saloon before 11 p.m. will receive a coupon for one free Hurricane in addition to $1 Jello Shots and $4 Hurricanes until 2 a.m. DJ Petey starts playing at 10.
WEDNESDAY
The Skin I Live In
The Dairy Center for the Arts will be screening Director Pedro Almodovar’s Le Piel Que Habito (The Skin I Live In), starring Antonio Banderas and Elena Anaya. The film depicts a plastic surgeon (Banderas) who is pushed to create synthetic skin after a series of tragedies have destroyed his family. His work becomes obsession and his creation (Anaya) holds the key. Film begins at 4:30 p.m. and is $8 for students, $10 general admission.
IFS: Oscar-Nominated Live-Action Shorts
Get ready for Sunday’s 2012 Oscars with some help from International Film Series by watching the nominated live-action shorts. Starting at 7 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m. in Muenzinger Psychology & Biopsychology, IFS will be featuring Pentecost, Raju, The Shore, Time Freak and Tuba Atlantic. Student tickets are $6 with a student id and general admission is $7.

Ladies Night with the CUIndependent
Absinthe House and the CUIndependent are hosting Ladies Night this week. Women enjoy free drinks from 10 p.m. till midnight while DJ Petey mixes sweet jams.
Disco Bowling @ The Connection
Come to The Connection any Thursday for Disco Bowling. From 9 p.m. until close (11:30 p.m. on Thursdays) enjoy bowling lanes tricked out with mirrors, backlighting, and black lights while listening to some disco. Discounts for students.

Boulder Laptop Orchestra @ ATLAS Center
Boulder Laptop Orchestra (BLOrk) consists of six performers, each with a laptop, hemispherical speaker and a variety of other devices. This unique musical experience will feature several compilations and run from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This event is free.
Daft Punk Laser Show
Watch lasers and listen to Daft Punk under the Fiske’s planetarium dome. Show begins at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for general admission.
