A small wildfire in Peewink Mountain is contained.
Crew members from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, United States Forest Service and various fire departments responded to the scene, near the 8500 block of Sugarloaf Road, at around 3 a.m., according to a Boulder County news release.
The fire was contained at 5:30 a.m. and, as of that time, was half an acre in size. It is not threatening any structures.
The fire is located on Forest Service property and Boulder County believes, according to the news release, the cause of the fire was from a previous slash pile burn.
