Kenton Astin, the Boulder man who slashed a CU freshman in 2007, is being sent to the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo, according to the Denver Post.
Astin pled not guily by reason of insanity at his trial Friday. He slashed the throat of Michael Knorps outside the UMC on the first day of classes, Aug. 27 2007, according to the Post. Knorps survived the incident and is still at CU, majoring in finance.
