New text message system sees second use in three days
CU reported this morning with its new text message alert system that electrical power was down in at least some campus dormitories early today.
The Campus Press has received at least one confirmed report from Farrand Hall that power was restored at approximately 7:15 a.m. It is unclear at this time whether other halls have electricity.
The message, sent at 7:16 a.m. from the university’s alert system to students who have registered for the service, read, “Alert: Res Hall Students: Power outage in main campus halls and Kitt since 2:45 am Power being restored in process. Get info fr hall staff.”
It is unclear at this time what caused the outage or how morning classes will be affected.
