Sex is a normal activity in our society, but it has changed over the years. Instead of sex being known as the most intimate time with your partner or geared toward creating a child, it has become more of a kinky way of life. People add sex toys to their sex life in order to have better sex or to pleasure themselves when they don’t have a partner. Even though these toys have been around for ages, they’ve become more socially acceptable to use.
Vibrators
Vibrators have been around since the 19th century when they were used for treating females diagnosed with “hysteria,” a misled catch-all term for things like fatigue, anxiety and mild depression. Now, they are utilized to help females reach an orgasm through masturbation and intercourse. There are many different types of vibrators and they come in all shapes and sizes. The Rabbit vibrator, which is a vibrating and rotating sex toy that involves vaginal and clitoral stimulation, is just one example. There are now vibrators that connect to an iPhone or iPod and vibrate to the beat of the music. Vibrators have also been made in a smaller form that you can take on-the-go. Many vibrators are now created to be used for intercourse, with one vibrator, the We-Vibe 4, pleasuring both you and your partner at the same time.
Dildos
A Dildo is a sex toy in the shape of a penis, designed for vaginal and anal penetration. Dildos have been used for ages, and they are known as the world’s oldest sex toy. The first dildo was believed to have been made several thousand years ago. Dildos were also used in Ancient Greece and were made of stone or wood. These days, dildos have become more diverse, as they are made for more than one use. Instead of just being a penis-shaped plastic sex toy, they have vibrating functions, too. This allows a person to get use of two sex toys by just using one, a perfect example being the All-American Wopper Dong Vibrator. Dildos are now being designed to be worn in conjunction with a harness, sometimes as a strap-on for women. They’ve also fashioned double-ended dildos so that both partners can receive pleasure at the same time. Dildos come in different shapes, colors and sizes, which allows people to choose what’s preferable for them. Either way, whatever dildo you prefer, it exists.
Lube
The type of lube that we use today was not created until the 20th century. However, people used different kinds of oils and mashed yams until it was created. These days, it has become a commercial product that is often used during sexual intercourse. The main use for it is to help improve penetration so sex is more pleasurable and less painful. Lube also comes in different types: oil, water and silicone-based. There are also flavored lubes that make oral sex much more enjoyable. There are also types of lubes that are used to create a tingling sensation during intercourse, and you can use them with sex toys for extra sensation. In addition, lube is also used for male masturbation. You can get these types of lubes at your local convenient store. K-Y is a common brand, and Good Clean Love and Pink are made for people who are sensitive to certain ingredients.
Sex Dolls
When you think of dolls, you imagine little girls playing with Barbies. But in today’s society there are dolls made for adults. The first modern sex dolls were created in 1941 by Nazi Germany and eventually became the inspiration for creating the Barbie doll. Since then, sex dolls have become an actual replacement for a sexual partner. These dolls are what the Japanese call “dutch wives,” made with a PVC skeleton, steel joints, silicone flesh and (sometimes) an audio system. They are available in customized body styles with the choice of different faces and skin tones. Depending on what kind of doll you get, some come with realistic pubic hair, detachable heads and react to verbal stimulation. However, these sex dolls are on the pricy side, ranging from $6,500 to $10,000. If you are looking for a doll on the cheaper side, there are plastic blow up ones, too.
