Local Boulder band Big Gigantic had Red Rocks Amphitheater packed to capacity on Friday, September 26, 2014. Their third headlining show at the venue, titled Rowdytown III, went off without a hitch, with strong performances backed up by cutting-edge visual lights shows.
The jazzy sound from producer and saxophone player Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken puts Big Gigantic among today’s hottest electronic bands. Openers The Floozies, DVBBS (pronounced “dubs”), Trippy Turtle and CU alumni Savoy got the crowd going.
In case the music wasn’t enough, Denver-based graphics and imaging company Ghost Pixel worked with Big Gigantic to produce stunning visuals. New 3D mapping technology allowed the company to project images, including a waving Colorado flag, on the famous rocks at the amphitheater.
