Photos: Basketball Doubleheader

The Coors Event Center hosted a double-header on Saturday in front of a chilled crowd. The men’s basketball team took on the University of Hartford Hawks at noon on Saturday in front of a crowd of 10,000 people, followed by the #23 women’s basketball team taking on the University of New Mexico Lobos. The Lady Buffs were in search of Linda Lappe’s 100^th win and extending their undefeated run.

And on both occasions, the Buffs came out on top, defiantly. The men won 80-52, bringing their record to 10-2 and remaining undefeated at home, led by Andre Roberson’s double-double (14 points and 14 rebounds) and Josh Scott’s career-high of 21. The women won 84-39 bringing their record to 11-0, led by Lexy Kresl who scored 20 points on the afternoon.

The men are away in Arizona on Jan. 3^rd and Jan. 6^th to take on #3 University of Arizona and Arizona State University, respectively, in search of regaining a ranking; while the women take on #1 Stanford at home on Jan. 4^th.
