UPDATE: Please note that the Rodrigo y Gabriela show has been moved to April 27.
If mourning the end of spring break isn’t on your to-do list this week (and, why wouldn’t it be?) then there are plenty of other things to do around town that should keep you occupied.
Do you know of an event, which should be included next week? Email the contact at the bottom.
Monday Night Bowling at the UMC Connection
If your usual case of the Mondays is a tad strong, come by the UMC Connection for their bowling specials. For $7 you get shoes, soda and unlimited bowling for two hours. You can start knocking the pins down at 6 p.m. and the deal ends at 11:30 p.m. How’s that for a cure?
“So You’re a Poet,” presents Ana Avery and Ben Baker at the Laughing Goat
The series of poetry readings, which have included poets like Allen Ginsberg, Anselm Hollo and Diane di Prima, allows artists to show off their literary works. Watch the Buffs play in the NIT Semifinals at Madison Square Garden
Too bad we can’t all make it to the Big Apple to cheer on our Buffs, but watching the game with friends at the Lazy Dog or Harpo’s should suffice. Tip off is at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. Go Buffs!
CU Student Government Spring 2011 Candidates Debate
If you’ve ever been curious about your student government leaders (or even wanted to learn who they were), here’s your chance. At the Candidates’ Debate, your student leaders will debate and discuss relevant issues on campus and there will be a chance for you to ask them your questions, too. Free food will be there if you need another incentive! The debate starts at 7 p.m. in UMC 235 and should last until around 10 p.m.
The White Buffalo plays at Club 156
Come check out this singer/songwriter with a deep, gritty voice and an indie, mellow acoustic sound. Tickets are a ridiculously cheap $6 pre-sale and $8 at the door. The music starts at 8 p.m. Don’t miss this!
Got Bass Free Music Show at the Fox
Pillow Fight, Vinnie Maniscalco, The Digital Connection and more will be blowing up the Fox with beats that will simply blow your mind. How can you not have a good time? If you’re 21-and-up, you’re in for a good night of free, live music. Under-21ers, tickets are only $12. The doors open at 8 p.m., so get there with your dancing shoes on!
Friday Postponed until April 27
