Dan Fatigato – Sports Editor – Record: 54-24
USC 45, UCLA 17 – The Trojans smell Buckeye blood and won’t let city-rival Bruins trip them up.
Arkansas 24, Florida 14 – The Gators have been living dangerously for weeks. McFadden and Co. will put an official end to Florida’s title hopes.
Oklahoma 31, Nebraska 14 – The Sooners, minus Rhett Bomar and Adrian Peterson, have been so impressive this year and should have just one loss. Cornhuskers are no match.
Wake Forest 27, Georgia Tech 21 – The Deacons’ magical ride ends with an ACC title and a BCS berth. Who knew?
Rutgers 31, West Virginia 21 – The Mountaineers lost to Louisville and then mailed in the rest of their season. Rutgers and Wake winning conference titles? Must be the bizarro world.
Ohio 17, Central Michigan 13 – I have no idea here, so when in doubt pick against the school with the directional name.
Houston 34, Southern Miss 21 – I envision a whole lot of swangin’ and bangin’ and candy paint drippin’ in the streets of H-Town once the Cougars secure the Conference USA title.
Montana State 20, Appalachian State 13 – If MSU can’t beat these guys, imagine how much worse the Buffs’ season-opening loss will look.
Hawaii 62, Oregon State 61 – They don’t believe in defense in the Aloha State. Luckily for the Warriors, nor do they in the Pac-10.
Brian Beer – Sports Writer – Record: 41-23
USC 31, UCLA 19- The Trojans are out to prove to the college football world that they are still number one, even without Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, and Lendale White.
Florida 26, Arkansas 23- Gators have been living on the edge all season, and will again sweat out a victory against the Razorbacks and their tremendous ground game in the Georgia Dome on Saturday.
Oklahoma 28, Nebraska 20- It would be a shame if the Sooners were to waste the Big-12 Championship game that Texas so nicely gift-wrapped for them.
Wake Forest 19, Georgia Tech 17- The Demon Deacons will conclude their fairytale regular season with a happy ending by beating the Yellowjackets for their first ACC title in 36 years.
Rutgers 23, West Virginia 17- I’m going to go with my heart over my head here and pick my home state team to hang on against the Mountaineers for the Big East Championship and a surprising BCS bid.
Central Michigan 20, Ohio 14- I wish I had a reason for picking the Chippewas, but this is really just a toss-up between two teams I know nothing about it.
Houston 38, Southern Miss 27- Houston’s high powered offense will be too much for the Golden Eagles to keep up with.
Apalachian State 27, Montana State 21- I don’t think there is much to do in either Montana or wherever Appalachian State is besides football, so expect a game with a Friday Night Lights-type of atmosphere here.
Oregon State 45, Hawaii 42- Points will be plenty in this island shootout, but the Beavers won’t waste the momentum from their victory last week over rival Oregon.
Katie Hearsum – Sports Writer – Record: 41-27
USC 35, UCLA 14 – The mighty Trojans won’t let their Pac 10 rivals ruin their chances to play in the national championship.
Florida 21, Arkansas 20 – This SEC championship should go down to the wire with Florida keeping their slim chances at the BCS title game alive.
Oklahoma 31, Nebraska 30 – This Big 12 championship game should be a battle, with the Sooners earning the spot in the Fiesta Bowl.
Wake Forest 21, Georgia Tech 17 – Wake’s poised freshman QB will lead them to their first ACC championship since 1970.
West Virginia 42, Rutgers 17 – The Mountaineers’ explosive rushing attack will end Rutgers’ dream season.
Ohio 17, Central Michigan 7 – Who knew these schools even had football teams?
Houston 37, Southern Miss 20- Clyde Drexler will return as a two-sport athlete to lead the Cougars to the Conference USA championship.
Appalachian State 41, Montana State 37 – I still can’t believe we lost to Montana State
Hawaii 49, Oregon State 42 – The Warriors’ QB might break the hundred touchdown mark after this week.
Scott Lasher – Football Beat Writer – Record: 42-35
USC 29, UCLA 20- At first, I didn’t want to see USC in the BCS Championship Game, but after the way the Trojans handled Notre Dame, they should give Ohio State a run for their money.
Florida 24, Arkansas 17- It was something of a Cinderella story for the Razorbacks, but the clock strikes midnight against a solid Gators squad.
Nebraska 30, Oklahoma 28- Nebraska in a BCS Bowl again? Didn’t think we would see it in our lifetime.
Wake Forest 41, Georgia Tech 21- The ACC epitomizes how crazy this college football season was, and friends, it was about as crazy as a $4 bill.
West Virginia 21, Rutgers 14- Rutgers goes from media darling and the centerpiece of every sports talk show in the nation to being ranked in the bottom half of the Top 25 and an afterthought in the bowl selection process. Oh, the humanity.
Central Michigan 23, Ohio 20- The MAC has a championship game?
Houston 37, Southern Miss 20- No matter who wins, a rap song will most likely be the background music at the victory celebration.
Montana State 23, Appalachian State 20- It is my firm opinion that no team should ever lose to another team named after a mountain range.
Oregon State 33, Hawaii 31- The Warriors lose this one in a heartbreaker. But hey, look on the bright side, at least they took those stupid rainbows off the sides of their helmets and stopped wearing those ridiculous pink uniforms a while back.
Kyle McDaniel – Sports Writer – Record: 49-29
USC 35, UCLA 28- USC won’t let this one slip.
Oklahoma 28, Nebraska 21- I’m not going to take Nebraska in a championship game.
Georgia Tech 17, Wake Forest 10- GT has more experience in big games.
West Virginia 35, Rutgers 10- Mountaineers will take this.
Ohio 21, Central Michigan 17- I’ll take Ohio in this one.
Southern Miss 28, Houston 21- I like Southern Miss in a close one.
Montana State 24, Appalachian State 23- This is a blind guess.
Hawaii 35, Oregon State 31- I think Hawaii can turn some heads in this game.
